First off let me say that Youmacon was a blast! Zaid and I had a great time rockin our Miguel and Tulio costumes from The Road to ElDorado!so much so that we didn't change out of them until late Saturday night so that meant I didn't wear Ezio this year. So sorry for everyone who was hoping to see that costume.  I did however get to rock old school Link for a bit which was fun but I'm thinking I might be getting too old to be link D:...that being said I just got skyward sword and am TOTALLY cosplaying Skyloft Link for Ohayocon. I'm also going to be making the goddess sword which will be my first adventure into prop making in a long time.  

Also during Ohayocon I am going to be interviewed by a new TV show that's affiliated with the RPF forums about making costumes which is really exciting! I also sold a baldric to them to display Aaron's wonderful Zelda weapons which they're also doing a segment on.  So look for that this spring, I think it's going to be on like G4 or Spike not sure yet.

Hey guys, it's already been a week since Otakon and man did I have a great time there! I hung out and roomed with so many awesome people! It was by far one of my favorite cons.  As you can see by my recent deviations I did finish my Count Mecha costume in time for the con and overall I'm pretty happy with it. I nearly passed out from heat exhaustion but I'm sure it'll be a great winter costume. We also had a great Galaxy Express 999 group with as Harlock as Maetel, as Emeraldas and Ingrid as Kei-Yukie check out there stuff to see their amazing costumes.

Up next for me is DragonCon! I've been wanting to go to this con for the past 5 years now and I'm finally going to go so I'm pretty excited. Sadly I dont think I'll have a new costume for it because after the huge rush to finish Mecha I'm taking a bit of time off to relax and finish up commissions.  But if you're going I'll be in Ezio for sure, and probably Zelda II Link. So be sure to say hello, I may try to finish Brotherhood Ezio or Skyward Sword Link (skyloft outfit) but I'm not promising anything lol.

Hey guys and girls there is less than two weeks before I hit the road for Otakon and I cant believe the time went by so fast! I'm making good progress with my new cosplay of Count Mecha from Galaxy Express 999. This is probably the most obscure cosplays I've done so we'll see if anyone knows who I am xD. I'll be with a large Galaxy Express/ Harlock group though so it should be a blast either way!

Also I should have Zelda II Link at Otakon too I just need to get my sword from my friend Ben and I'll be set to wear that costume.

Anyway I gotta work a lot these next two weeks to finish up 2 leather commissions, 2 patterns, and a few more things on Count Mecha.  Sadly the count ended up being more work then expected so Brotherhood Ezio has been put off for now. I'd love to have the Brotherhood costume finished for Dragon Con but I'd be impressed if I met that deadline.

So is anyone else going to be at Otakon and what are you all cosplaying?  see ya in Baltimore!

Hello friends, just thought I'd write a journal letting anyone who watches me and is interested in hearing me talk a bit about my cosplays know that Takatobi Radio will be airing an interview I did for them this Friday at 9PM.  It was a cool experience, I've never been interviewed for cosplay before so it was an honor to do something like that. The only other news on the cosplay front is that I've begun working on Count Mecha from Galaxy Express 999.  This will be my first Anime cosplay and will be debuted at Otakon 2011 with a whole bunch of other 999/Harlock cosplayers put together by So be sure to check us out.  That's all I got, peace out everyone!

I cant believe it's only 6 weeks till Acen already! man am I slacking. I really wanted to have the new Ezio costume from brotherhood finished, or Nikolai Orelov but I dont know if either are going to happen.  I will definitely have my Zelda II Link costume to wear and AC II Ezio.

School has been really busy, the show we're working on right now has me making two dresses that are fairly complex, that and a few other projects for other classes I need to do are putting me behind on my cosplay work.  For everyone who is interested in seeing more pictures of my patterns for Ezio I'm nearly finished with them and hopefully will have more pictures soon.  Also I'll be graduating this year so next year I will have a lot more free time to devote to costume making.  My plan is to really test my abilities as a costumer so that not only will I have awesome costumes to wear but also something to put in my professional portfolio.
